In this section we cover a range of trace evidence and how it is recovered from crime scenes by CSI units and how it is then used by Forensic Science Laboratories in solving crime. There are a wide ranges of trace evidence but in this section we cover:

The students are shown how this evidence is collected with a practical demonstration and are then given an outline as to how this evidence can be used. We then explain how this was used in some high profile cases in Ireland.
