Introduction

We begin with a brief outline of the type of work carried out by Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) in Ireland: - Forensic Science Laboratory, Garda Technical Bureau (different sections).

How CSI work is carried out in the Garda Síochana, the make-up and structure and how it compares with CSI programmes on TV. We give a brief outline of the experience of our presenters and types of cases that they have worked on.

Students will receive a brief caution or warning if photographs are about to be shown which may contain content which some students may find difficult to view.

A Data Visualizer and Data Projector will be used throughout the day to assist us with some of our demonstrations.
